Demi Chef

Our client in the hospitality and business services urgently requires the services of a

Demi Chef

Application opens on 12th April  and closes on 21st April 2023

 

Responsibilities

• Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues

• Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations

• Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)

• Follow the guidance of the executive or Sous Chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes

• Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality

• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards (HACCP)

• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

• To ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained by following cleaning schedules and ongoing diligence during the shift and in all set up and clean down

• To observe the club rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

• To attend any training section and team meeting as required and be involved and contribute to such.

Requirements

  • Culinary/Diploma in catering & hotel management
  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
